Tropical Storm Lowell is moving westward in the Central Pacific, located about 985 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii, as of 11 AM HST (2100 UTC) on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) and Central Pacific Hurricane Center report maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, with gradual strengthening expected over the next few days.
