Tropical Storm Edouard Approaches Texas-Louisiana Coastline, Expected to Bring Heavy Rain and Storm Surge

Tropical Storm Edouard is strengthening slightly and is expected to make landfall soon near the Sabine River mouth this evening. The storm is forecast to bring tropical storm to hurricane conditions, heavy rainfall, flash and river flooding, and storm surge to parts of the Upper Texas and southwestern Louisiana coasts. This poses immediate risks to coastal communities and infrastructure.
