Typhoon Krovanh Increases Flood and Landslide Risk in Japan

Typhoon No. 24 Krovanh is enhancing an autumn rain front, significantly raising the risk of flash flooding, landslides, and rapidly rising rivers across multiple Japanese regions from September 3-7. Amami is particularly vulnerable, with forecasts indicating over 330mm of rain, which could severely disrupt travel and pose public safety concerns.
