Typhoon No. 24 Krovanh's moisture is interacting with an autumn rain front, creating an extreme heavy rain risk across Japan. Amami is forecast to receive over 330 mm of rain between September 3-4, with significant risks of flash flooding, landslides, and rapidly rising rivers. Heavy rain is also forecast for Okinawa, Kagoshima, southern Kyushu, Shikoku, Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo in the coming days.
