Widespread Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood, and Heat Risks Across Multiple US Regions

An Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms is forecast for eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, with a Slight Risk extending across the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and Mid-Atlantic regions. Hazards include severe wind and hail, with a potential for linear storm clusters and isolated tornadoes. The Weather Prediction Center has issued a Moderate Risk of Excessive Rainfall for parts of eastern Texas, with a Marginal Risk stretching to Florida, and a Slight Risk for southeast Arizona and extreme southwest New Mexico, indicating a scattered flash flood risk. Additionally, a Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of southeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the eastern shores of Maryland and Delaware, valid until 8 PM today. Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rain leading to flash flooding are also possible in these Mid-Atlantic areas. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were active in parts of Southeast Michigan, including Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, and St. Clair counties, with a tornado warning issued for Livingston County, all expiring by late afternoon.
