Three Pacific Hurricanes Active; Lowell Reaches Category 4 Strength

The National Hurricane Center is tracking three active Pacific hurricanes: Lowell, a Category 4 storm in the Central Pacific, and Karina and Marie, a Category 2, in the Eastern Pacific. Hurricane Marie is expected to generate significant swells, which will likely cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions along the coasts of southwest Mexico, the Baja California Peninsula, and Southern California over the next few days.
