Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Winds in Victoria, Australia

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds across parts of Victoria. Damaging northwesterly winds, averaging 65 to 75 km/h with peak gusts up to 110 km/h, are likely from late this evening in the Northeast Ranges and Alpine Areas. The Macedon and Central Ranges could experience damaging northwesterly winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 90 km/h from early Saturday morning. Additionally, the Southwest region may see damaging wind gusts exceeding 90 km/h from Saturday morning, primarily within showers and thunderstorms. Winds are expected to ease during Saturday evening.
