NWS Forecasts Severe Thunderstorms, Flash Flooding, and Persistent Heat Across US Regions

The National Weather Service (NWS) anticipates widespread strong thunderstorms with damaging winds and locally heavy rain from the Upper Ohio Valley to the southern Mid-Atlantic through Saturday. A flash flooding threat is also present in the Desert Southwest due to monsoonal moisture.
