The National Weather Service Central Pacific Hurricane Center has issued Advisory Number 41 for Tropical Storm Karina. As of 5:00 AM HST (1500 UTC) on Sunday, September 6, 2026, Karina was located near latitude 22.7 North, longitude 145.0 West, with maximum sustained winds near 60 mph. Weakening is expected, and Karina is forecast to become a post-tropical gale by late tonight. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 miles from the center.
