Timber and Plaskett Wildfires Continue in Los Padres National Forest, California

Two active wildfires, the Timber and Plaskett Fires, are burning in the Los Padres National Forest along California's central coast. As of September 6, 2026, the Timber Fire has burned approximately 25,357 acres and is 27% contained, while the Plaskett Fire is 31% contained. Several miles of Highway 1 have been shut down due to the fires.
