Tropical Storm Lowell Weakening and Moving Away from Hawaiian Islands

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is issuing advisories for Tropical Storm Lowell in the Central Pacific. Lowell is weakening, with maximum sustained winds decreasing to near 65 mph (100 km/h) and higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast over the next few days as it moves away from the Hawaiian Islands.
