Japan Meteorological Agency Issues Level 5 Flood Warning Amid Record Rainfall in Fukui and Nagoya

The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued its highest Level 5 flood warning for the Shonai River, with Nagoya experiencing floods after 104mm of rain in an hour. Fukui Prefecture also saw extreme rainfall, with over 300mm in 24 hours, leading to Level 5 emergency warnings for Fukui, Ono, and Katsuyama due to swelling rivers, flooded roads, and increased landslide danger.
