Tropical Depression Fourteen-E Forms, Expected to Strengthen

Tropical Depression Fourteen-E has formed well south-southwest of the Baja California Peninsula. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) issued its first advisory on September 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM PDT (2100 UTC). Gradual strengthening is forecast, and the depression could become a tropical storm tonight or Thursday. There are no coastal watches or warnings currently in effect.
