Heavy rainfall has impacted eastern Japan, including Tokyo, prompting the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) to issue warnings for landslides, particularly on Niijima, Oshima, and Toshima islands. Oshima received over 580 mm of rain in 24 hours, leading to a special landslide warning. Level 4 landslide alerts are also in effect for parts of Chiba and Saitama prefectures.
