Excessive Heat Advisories Across Parts of the Southern U.S., Including Texas and Arkansas

Central and East Texas, including Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, and Bell counties, are also under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. Saturday, with temperatures between 103 and 106 degrees Fahrenheit and heat index values up to 108 degrees. A Heat Advisory is also in effect for most of southwestern, southern, and west-central Arkansas, where heat index values may reach between 105 and 109 degrees. Dangerous heat and humidity are expected, posing risks of life-threatening heat illnesses and increasing fire danger.
