Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm watch for Ranger Lake region

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for several areas, including Searchmont and Ranger Lake, effective this afternoon. Conditions are conducive for severe thunderstorms, potentially bringing strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h. A prior tornado warning for Ranger Lake has been rescinded.
