Volcanic Alert Level Raised to 3 for Mount Tokachidake, Hokkaido, Japan

The Japan Meteorological Agency has raised the eruption alert level for Mount Tokachidake to Level 3, restricting entry to the mountain due to intensified volcanic activity. An evacuation order has been issued for the Fukiage Onsen area, and an advisory for the Tokachidake Onsen area. Increased volcanic earthquakes and gas emissions have been observed.
