US Faces Heavy Rain, Flood Risk, and Persistent Heat Advisories

The National Weather Service forecasts heavy rainfall and potential flooding from Monday through Thursday across parts of the central Plains, Midwest, southern Arizona, and New Mexico. Scattered strong thunderstorms are also possible in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Concurrently, Heat Advisories remain in effect across much of east Texas into the mid-Mississippi Valley through at least Tuesday, posing health risks.
