Hurricane Polo has made landfall near Guaymas, Mexico, or just south of Las Barrancas in Baja California Sur, bringing high winds and heavy rains to northwestern Mexico. Its remnants are now moving into the US, causing a Moderate Risk of excessive rainfall and Flood Watches across south-central Arizona, New Mexico, West Texas, and eastern Nebraska, with localized catastrophic flooding possible. Tropical Storm Rachel is also holding steady south of southwestern Mexico, with a Tropical Storm Warning in effect for the coast from Punta San Telmo to Playa Perula. The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories for these systems.
