Tropical Storm Nolo Intensifies, Warning Issued for Pacific Marine Monument

Tropical Storm Nolo is strengthening, with sustained winds near 60 mph, and is moving northwestward. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument, from Nihoa to Maro Reef, including French Frigate Shoals. A watch is also in effect for areas further west, as Nolo is projected to become a hurricane by the weekend, posing a risk to the monument's remote islands.
