Tropical Cyclone Nolo Transitions to Typhoon Status in Western Pacific
The system formerly known as Hurricane Nolo has become Typhoon Nolo after crossing the international date line. As of Monday morning Japan time, it maintains 100 mph winds and is moving west over the open Pacific. The typhoon is forecast to gradually weaken as it continues its westward trajectory.
