Germany Anticipates Thunderstorms with Heavy Rain and Strong Gusts

The Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) predicts isolated thunderstorms with heavy rain in Germany's western Alpine region from late afternoon today, subsiding overnight. New thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday afternoon and evening in the west and southwest, spreading east and northeast overnight. These storms could bring heavy rainfall of approximately 15 liters per square meter per hour and gusts up to 65 km/h (Beaufort 8), with potential fog overnight.
