Heavy Rainfall and Coastal Flooding Expected Across Parts of the U.S.

The National Weather Service forecasts heavy rainfall and severe weather from New Mexico into the western High Plains through the weekend due to a slow-moving front. Heavy rainfall is also anticipated this weekend in South Florida. Additionally, a Bering Sea storm continues to bring heavy precipitation, strong winds, and minor to major coastal flooding across western Alaska, while coastal flooding is also expected along portions of the Eastern Seaboard.
