Tropical Storm Champi Approaches China Following Impact on Taiwan and Japan

Tropical Storm Champi, previously a typhoon, is now heading towards China after causing significant disruption in Taiwan and Japan's southern islands. The storm led to heavy rainfall, widespread power outages, and felled trees. Over 5,000 people were evacuated in Taiwan, resulting in one fatality and more than 600 injuries, alongside numerous flight cancellations across the region.
