Winter Storm Warnings Issued for Alaska with Up to 16 Inches of Snow and Strong Winds

Winter storm warnings are in effect for portions of interior Alaska through Monday night, October 26. The southern slopes of the central Brooks Range could receive between 8 and 16 inches of snow, with wind gusts up to 35 mph. A separate advisory for Atigun Pass warns of 3 to 6 inches of snow and gusts reaching 55 mph, leading to very difficult travel conditions and reduced visibility.
