Heavy Rains Expected to Bring Flash Flooding Risk to Saturated US Southwest
The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy rains from Saturday evening, October 31st, through Monday, which are expected to bring a threat of flash flooding to already saturated areas of the U.S. Southwest. Flood watches have been issued for nearly all of Arizona and parts of southern Utah, southwestern Colorado, western New Mexico, and southern Nevada. Up to 4 inches (10 centimeters) of rain could fall across the region, where recent weather systems have already caused significant rainfall and localized flooding.
