Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu crossed the south Andhra Pradesh coast near Ongole in the early hours of November 3, 2026, bringing strong winds of 100-110 kmph, gusting to 120 kmph, heavy rainfall, coastal flooding, and risks of agricultural losses and infrastructure damage. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a Red Message cyclone warning for Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamil Nadu.
