Météo-France Forecasts Intense Rain and Storms for Southern France, Orange Alerts Expected

Météo-France anticipates a significant deterioration in weather conditions across southern France, with intense rain and storms expected from Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Up to 250mm of rain is forecast in areas including Hérault, Gard, Aude, and Bouches-du-Rhône. Yellow alerts for heavy rain/flash-flooding and storms are currently in place, with an expectation that these will be raised to tier-three 'orange' warnings. Strong east winds with gusts up to 90 km/h are also expected on coastal departments.
