Météo-France issues Orange Vigilance for Rain/Flood in Corsica
Météo-France has placed Corsica, particularly the eastern part of the island, under an Orange Vigilance for rain and flooding for Thursday, November 5, 2026. A disturbed and very rainy weather pattern is extending from the Mediterranean to the Massif Central, with sustained and locally stormy precipitation expected along the Provençal coast, the lower Rhône valley, and Languedoc. These conditions are anticipated to lead to significant accumulated rainfall. Strong easterly winds are also forecast for the extremities of Corsica and the PACA coastline, with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h.
