Australia Prepares for Fire and Cyclone Season Amidst Active Flood Warnings
Residents across Western Australia's Pilbara and Kimberley regions are urged to prepare for a potentially dangerous wet season, with emergency authorities warning of cyclones, flash flooding, and bushfires that could isolate remote communities for days. The Australian Warning System, which includes Advice, Watch and Act, and Emergency Warning levels, is in effect. The Bureau of Meteorology also has active Moderate Flood Warnings for the Lower Barcoo River and Bulloo River, and Minor Flood Warnings for the upper Thomson River, Warrego River, and Paroo River. Marine Wind Warnings are also in place for South Australia and New South Wales.
