WHO Director-General Visits DRC Amid Spreading Ebola Outbreak and Emerging Recoveries

The head of the World Health Organization is in the Democratic Republic of Congo as the Ebola outbreak continues to spread, with over a thousand suspected cases and hundreds of deaths reported across DRC and Uganda. Despite the challenging situation, there is some positive news with five patients recovering from a rare strain of the virus and a new treatment center opening. International partners are also seeking emergency funding to support Uganda's response.
