Switzerland Approves Military Cooperation with France for G7 Summit Security

The Swiss Federal Council has endorsed a joint military cooperation agreement with France to bolster security for the upcoming G7 summit in Évian. This framework details collaborative efforts, especially over Lake Geneva and in the airspace, involving approximately 4,000 Swiss Armed Forces personnel. Additionally, Switzerland will temporarily reinstate border controls along its French frontier during the summit period.
