Aftershocks Impede Philippines Earthquake Recovery
Recovery operations in the southern Philippines are being hampered by ongoing aftershocks following a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake. The quake resulted in at least 45 fatalities, 17 missing persons, and extensive damage to homes and infrastructure. Hundreds were also injured in one of the region's strongest seismic events in decades.
