Israel Expands Occupied Territories in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria Since 2023

Since 2023, Israel has expanded its militarily occupied territories by approximately 1,000 square kilometers across Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, designating these as 'buffer zones.' This expansion, the largest in decades, has led to the displacement of over 3 million people in Gaza and Lebanon. Syria's interim president has called for Israel to withdraw from a UN buffer zone in southern Syria.
