UNHCR Alarmed by Worsening Ebola Outbreak in Eastern DRC, Endangering Displaced Populations

The UN Refugee Agency has voiced serious apprehension regarding the escalating spread of the Bundibugyo Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo's eastern region. This outbreak poses a significant threat to over two million displaced individuals, including refugees, who reside in conflict-affected areas. The DRC has reported nearly 900 confirmed cases and over 230 deaths, with cases also confirmed in Uganda.
