Humanitarian Crises Worsen in Sudan and Lebanon, Syria Requires Sustained Aid

The humanitarian situation in Sudan's North Kordofan State is deteriorating due to escalating violence and drone attacks, leading to the closure of medical facilities and water stations in El Obeid. In Lebanon, recent hostilities on June 19 alone resulted in 83 deaths and 141 injuries, bringing the total since March 2 to over 4,100 killed and 12,100 injured, with the UN calling for civilian protection and humanitarian access. UN officials also highlighted that while Syria shows signs of progress, acute humanitarian needs persist, requiring sustained funding and investment in recovery.
