European Commission Allocates Billions to Romania and Submarine Cable Projects

The European Commission has disbursed €2.25 billion in grants to Romania, supporting sustainable forest management, decarbonization, and tax administration. Additionally, the Commission is funding the establishment of new regional cable hubs in the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas. These initiatives aim to bolster infrastructure and economic resilience within the EU, alongside a call for proposals to enhance submarine communication cable repair capabilities.
