UN Security Council Extends Golan Heights Observer Force Mandate

The United Nations Security Council has unanimously voted to renew the mandate for its Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan Heights. This extension will last for six months, through the end of 2026. UNDOF plays a crucial role in maintaining regional stability by supervising the ceasefire and disengagement of forces between Israel and Syria, a mission it has carried out since 1974.
