IAEA chief confirms US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding includes UN nuclear supervision

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), stated that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last week between Washington and Tehran includes an agreement for UN nuclear supervision. The objective of this MoU is to ensure that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons, with Grossi emphasizing the necessity of a 'very strong verification system' despite Iran's declared intentions. The agreement aims to end hostilities in the Middle East and initiate a 60-day negotiation period concerning Iran's nuclear program.
