EU and US Deliver Emergency Aid to Venezuela Following Devastating Earthquakes

The European Union is providing €5 million in humanitarian aid and organizing a Humanitarian Air Bridge to Venezuela, focusing on shelter, healthcare, and essential supplies, in response to recent earthquakes. This is in addition to €52 million already allocated this year. Separately, the U.S. has increased its financial commitment to over $300 million, partnering with organizations to deliver emergency medical care, food, water, sanitation, and shelter. Rescue efforts continue with tens of thousands still reported missing after the twin 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes, which have caused widespread destruction and overwhelmed hospitals.
