Global Fund Approves Emergency Funding for TB and HIV Services in Crisis-Affected Lebanon and Iraq

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has approved US$1.48 million in emergency funding to sustain essential TB and HIV services in Lebanon and Iraq. These countries are experiencing severe disruptions to healthcare access due to intensifying conflict and massive displacement, with over 15 million people displaced across the Middle East since early 2026, exacerbating health risks and straining fragile health systems.
