International Aid Organizations Launch Urgent Appeal for Venezuela Earthquake Relief

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has launched an urgent appeal to raise funds for the victims of two powerful earthquakes (magnitude 7.2 and 7.5) that struck Venezuela's northern coast on June 24. The quakes killed at least 1,700 people, injured thousands, and caused widespread destruction, affecting millions and creating a rapidly growing humanitarian crisis. Aid organizations, including CARE and IRC, are on the ground providing emergency relief.
