Ukraine Reports Drone Strikes on Russian Defense Industry and Oil Refinery

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian drones struck a Russian defense industry enterprise in the Penza region and an oil refinery in the city of Ufa overnight on July 1. Zelensky described the targeted defense facility as "strategic," involved in developing and manufacturing components for missile weapons used against Ukrainian cities and communities.
