UN Relief Chief Urges Sustained International Support for Venezuela's Earthquake Recovery

UN relief chief Tom Fletcher has called for widespread solidarity to be transformed into practical support for Venezuela's recovery from deadly double earthquakes last month, which killed over 3,500 people and injured more than 16,740. Humanitarian needs remain significant, with many communities requiring relief as search and rescue efforts conclude, and the UN is seeking $296 million to reach 1.3 million people over the next six months.
