European Commission Proposes New Sanctions Regime to Combat Migrant Smuggling and Organized Crime

The European Commission and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy have proposed a new EU sanctions regime. This initiative aims to tackle migrant smuggling, human trafficking, and other serious forms of organized crime, including illicit arms and drug trafficking, and money laundering, with the goal of disrupting these criminal networks.
