EU and Britain Impose Sanctions on Russian Intelligence Over Cyberespionage Campaign

The European Union and Britain have imposed sanctions on Russian military intelligence officers, hackers, and private companies. These sanctions are in response to a years-long cyberespionage campaign that has allegedly targeted European governments and critical infrastructure, including heating and power plants, since 2010. The EU's decision affects nine individuals and four entities, while Britain sanctioned 24 people and entities.
