The European Union and Britain have sanctioned nine individuals and four entities linked to a Russian cyberespionage network accused of targeting European governments and critical infrastructure since 2010. NATO also condemned Russia's persistent malicious cyber activities against Allies and partners, emphasizing that these actions threaten Allied security and disregard international norms of responsible state behavior in cyberspace. The sanctions target individuals and companies providing technical support to cyberattacks and those responsible for hybrid activities against third countries and international organizations.
