EU Council Agrees on Financial Framework for Migration, Border Management, and Internal Security (2028-2034)

The European Council has reached an agreement on its negotiating position for the EU's financial support for migration, border management, and internal security for the period 2028 to 2034. These instruments aim to assist member states in implementing the pact on migration and asylum, managing external borders, and combating internal security threats. The temporary protection status for those fleeing Ukraine will also be extended until March 4, 2028.
