Venezuela Faces Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis One Month After Devastating Earthquakes

One month after two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela's north-central coast, the country continues to face a severe humanitarian crisis. Over 5,390 people were killed, more than 16,700 injured, and nearly 23,100 remain displaced in temporary camps. UNICEF and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) are providing life-saving assistance, but significant needs persist in shelter, basic services, food security, and psychosocial support, with damage to infrastructure totaling billions of dollars.
