France orders further evacuations as wildfires displace hundreds of thousands across Southwest Europe

French authorities have ordered 4,000 more people evacuated from tourist sites along its Atlantic coast, expanding what could be France's largest peacetime evacuation. This comes as returning heat threatens firefighters' efforts against a vast wildfire west of Bordeaux. Across Southwest Europe, wildfires have displaced a third of a million people, with Spain also making progress in lifting evacuation orders for tens of thousands.
